Where are my no-bake recipe fans? I have such a great snack recipe to share with you today!
This past week I have been running around crazy as I prepared for our end of summer trip to Hershey Park, and this sweet little snack idea couldn’t have come to me at a better time. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love too cook and bake, but when it’s 95 degrees out for the 5th day in a row — I prefer not to. Before we head out on vacation we generally eat through the leftovers in our fridge and pantry, so meals can be a little funky in the last few days before our trip. This, combined with the fact that I am trying to clean and pack for our family of five means we usually end up having more of a snacky or finger food type dinner instead of the usual well thought out meal. I recently had the chance to partner with Smucker’s and Wasa, and I just know you’re going to love what I came up with.
While I was at Wal-Mart picking up some last minute road-trip essentials, I also picked up a container of NEW Smucker’s Fruit & Honey Strawberry Jalapeno Fruit Spread and a package of Wasa Multigrain Crispbread. Both of these can be found where you’d expect, the spread can be found in the aisle with other fruit spreads and jams, and the crispbread can be found within the cracker aisle:
I arrived home shortly before Mr. Kirk was due home from work, so I got to work prepping some snacks for us to eat. I quickly realized that these crisp bites I put together could be an AMAZING party food, no-bake snack for surprise guests, or even a nice little pre-dinner appetizer dish.
Here’s what you need…
- 1 jar Smucker’s Fruit & Honey Strawberry Jalapeno Fruit Spread
- 1 package Wasa Multigrain Crispbread
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 8 ounces sliced fresh strawberries
Here’s what you do…
1. Spread your crispbread pieces out onto a platter, dish or plate (I added some bright paper doilies just to make it fun!)
2. Spread a thin layer of cream cheese over the top of your crisp bread:
3. Spread about 1 TBS of Smucker’s Fruit & Honey spread over each layer of cream cheese:
4. Top each piece of crispbread with a layer of sliced fresh strawberries:
5. Serve and enjoy!
The new Fruit & Honey spread by Smucker’s that I used in this recipe is sweet, yet spicy (hello strawberry jalapeño you delicious combo!) and both of my older kids LOVED it. Smucker’s has a few new flavor combos out in this line, and while they are so delicious, I’d like to point out that they are also naturally sweetened with honey, hooray! I ended up making a few more batches of these throughout the night because we gobbled them right up. These Wasa crispbreads that I used as a base are surprisingly satisfying and add the perfect crunch to this sweet and spicy snack, I especially like that they hold up to layers and layers of toppings without getting soggy or breaking apart — which is why I thought they’d be the perfect party snack!
Right now you can earn $1.00 off Smucker’s Fruit & Honey Fruit Spread by taking advantage of this Ibotta offer, and you can also earn $0.50 off Wasa Multigrain Crispbread by taking advantage of this Ibotta offer!
