It’s back to school time, yippee!
Every year around this time I feel like I’m on a real emotional roller coaster, haha! I love, love, LOVE my routine and having the kids home for the whole summer is so hard because no matter how hard we try, there is no routine. On the other hand, I hate to wish these days with them away.
But here we are again, saying goodbye to summer and preparing for back to school!
I love to help out in the kids classrooms, and I’m looking forward to it again this year. This will be our ten year old’s last year in elementary school, so once again, these days are numbered. I love that the boys still get excited to bring in classroom supplies and teacher gifts. Since we closed out the school year last year with gifts using these tags, I thought it would be fun to change it up! We have partnered with Pilot G2 Pens to create a little something special for our teachers at the beginning of the year too.
I actually love that Pilot G2 Pens have four point sizes and 15 bright, fun colors. I use them for writing in my planner and staying organized – I like to color code! The gel in the Pilot G2 Pens is nice and smooth and never gets blotchy or dry (which is a major pet peeve of mine).
Since I didn’t have any unopened packages for this tutorial, I took a quick trip to Walmart with my soon to be third grader (OMG) so he could pick out which pens he wanted for his teacher this year. I love that there are so many different collection options available! We picked up one of the fashion collection packages, per request of this guy…
These are super easy to put together, perfect for the hectic days leading up to the first day of school, because minimal effort is required!
Here’s what you need:
- 1 package of Pilot G2 Pens for each teacher (you could tie multiple packages together with your ribbon, but we only did 1 per teacher)
- A Printer
- Hole punch
Here’s what you do:
- Click here to download your free printable tags!
- Use scissors to cut the tags, and a hole punch to create a hole at the top of the tag.
- Cut ribbon long enough to wrap around your package of pens, and thread through the punched hole in the tag. Tie on, and voila!
Hey babe, are you ready for the first day of school?! His response… 😉
How cute are those? I know our teachers will love that sweet little note and a little something for themselves too. Click here to save $0.75 on any ONE 4-pack (or larger) of G2 Gel Ink pens!
